Prime NDT Services, Inc. is a US-based, inspection company that was established in 1996 in Schnecksville, Pennsylvania.
We are dedicated to performing the highest level of quality work in nondestructive testing (NDT) services across a variety of new construction & integrity assessment projects in the energy and industrial industries.

All of our field personnel are trained to the CP 189 standard and tested in accordance with ASNT-TC-1A.

The Strasburg location serves as Prime NDT’s head office, operations base, technical support, and NDT facility center for inspection services in the eastern region. We provide in-house NDT services, procedure prepping, and consultation services from this single location.

Nondestructive Testing Services
Advanced NDT
Advanced NDT utilizes industry-leading technology and equipment to detect, measure, and evaluate any defects, material thickness, and characterizations. Prime NDT offers a vast range of advanced NDT methods, including automated ultrasonic testing (AUT), phased array (PAUT), time-of-flight diffraction (TOFD), and real-time radiography (RTR).
Conventional NDT
Considered one of the most common practices, conventional NDT techniques are used to find defects in surface and subsurface materials. Prime NDT offers a variety of conventional NDT techniques, such as radiography (RT), manual ultrasonic testing (UT), liquid penetrant testing (PT), and magnetic particle testing (MPT).

New Construction Pipelines & Plants
Prime NDT has over 25 years of experience providing accurate and reliable pipeline inspection services - providing large-scale, pipeline NDT services for major up- and midstream companies, while also working with some of the largest pipeline contractors in North America.
Integrity Assessments
Integrity Assessments are vital to ensure the safety, quality, and fitness-for-service of pipelines, piping systems, and fixed equipment in the industrial industries. We offer onsite NDT methods aimed to verify, validate, and/or provide detailed data and analysis to help operators make integrity decisions and manage threats.
Turnarounds
During the Turnaround process we provide conventional and/or advanced NDT (API 510, 570, 653, 583), and complete reporting of findings, whether the equipment meets applicable code (per piping ASME design code). If the results determine the equipment as “rejected” for Fitness-For-Service, and the customer decides to repair or replace the piping and/or equipment, our NDT team can follow up with NDT assessments on those items.
Maintenance Shutdowns
Without sufficient inspection data, repair and maintenance services can be time-consuming, costly, and can miss hidden damages in critical assets. Our goal is to prioritize the inspection and maintenance work that will be required by focusing on the assets most at risk of consequential failure based on historical inspection data.
Emergency Outage Call-outs
In emergency situations, we are ready to deploy qualified personnel onsite within a 24-hour notice from our Houston-based office.
Shared Services
Prime NDT is a subsidiary company of RAE Energy, Inc. and is primarily responsible for the North American market for onshore pipeline and facility inspection projects.
Prime NDT works closely with UT Quality, Inc., also a RAE company, to provide global offshore NDT.
Other shared services Prime NDT can offer through RAE is global pipeline welding and field-joint coating services.
